Due to the horizontal loading area and the self-weight of the scrap, the material falls into the loading chamber and the cutting area. The scrap is compressed against the front wall and is cut by the horizontally moving tool carriage, pressing the material over the blades mounted on the front wall. While the tool carriage moves horizontally, the processed material is pushed out through the blades at the front end of the chamber. When returning to the rear position, the loaded scrap moves by gravity into the shear.
