The RX-180 wood chipper is equipped with hydraulic infeed rollers and is designed for shredding branches, tree trunks with a diameter of up to 18 cm, and other wood materials. The thickness of the resulting wood chips can be adjusted by changing the speed of the material feed via the guide rollers. The double-sided blades are bolted to a cutting disc with a diameter of 710 mm, which can easily shred branches and trunks thanks to its weight of 95 kg.
To ensure safe operation, the chipper is equipped with a safety switch and guards. It has a system for controlling the feed speed of the processed material and a system for removing the material from the feed hopper. The discharge chute can be rotated to direct the ejection of wood chips in the desired direction (outside the operator's work area). The wood chipper offers high efficiency and ease of use. The resulting wood chips can be used as fuel or as compost or bedding material under bushes.
The chipper is driven via the power take-off shaft from the tractor's PTO to the 1 3/8-inch PTO shaft in the chipper. It is recommended to use PTO shafts with a slip clutch or shear bolt coupling to ensure safe operation. If the machine is overloaded, the drive will automatically shut off. The bearings are lubricated via raised lubrication points. As an optional extra, the RX-180 chipper can be equipped with an independent hydraulic pump.
