The system consists of two cells:

The main welding cell is equipped with a manipulator for holding the workpieces. Workpieces up to approx. 600 kg can be welded on this manipulator using a Kuka welding robot with a Fronius welding machine. The system was originally procured for manufacturing transformer tanks for rail vehicles. However, these orders are no longer produced in Germany.

The system has only been sporadically utilized and has seen very little use over the past 5 years, so it has a low effective operating age.

The robot can be moved to the second cell, where workpieces can also be welded on a fixture or a welding table.

This system is ideal for anyone with series production tasks as well as smaller batch sizes, as it allows welding of various components, is highly flexible, easy to set up, and quick to change over.
