Description

The REMET RT-690RH disc chipper features its own oil motor, which is driven by the power take-off (PTO). This motor drives the infeed rollers, which can handle material with a diameter of up to 13 cm. The size of the chipped material can be adjusted by modifying the speed of the infeed rollers. The blades are attached to a disc with a diameter of 625 mm, which, due to its weight of 60 kg, provides additional momentum.
To ensure the operator's safety, the device is equipped with an emergency stop switch. In addition, it is possible to retract material from the inlet hopper. The discharge chute, which can rotate 360°, facilitates the collection of the chipped material. This machine is characterized by its high efficiency, and the wood chips can be used both as fuel and for composting.
The disc chipper is operated via the tractor's PTO. It is recommended to use PTOs with shear pins. The shear pin is designed to prevent damage to the machine or the tractor in the event that the material blocks the machine. The chipper is also equipped with grease fittings to facilitate the lubrication of the ball bearings.
