The gripper is opened automatically and is closed by light manual pressure when the plant is pressed onto the gripper. The rotation of the planting disc transports the plant downward inside the coulter. The gripper then automatically releases the plant into the soil in front of the press wheels. The operation is completed by the V-shaped inclined press wheels, which firmly press the soil around the roots to ensure efficient plant growth.
